It's been a while since I've blogged. Ashley and I have been BUSY cleaning our
the ranch house and bringing LOTS of it to Say road. I have always accused Buddy
of being a collector of stuff. I've changed my mind. He can hardly hold a
candle to me. I keep finding collections that I have forgotten about. It wasn't
necessarily a bona fide (spelling) colllection, but when you find 6 or 7 fruit
bowls, complete with artificial fruit, that is a collection.
Ashley and I make a good team because we're both sentimental and it may
be an old set of glasses to some, but to us it's a memory- or to me at least.
And if it's a memory to me, she's sentimental about it.
I'm feeling less at home on the ranch, and more and more at home in town.
For instance, we were completely out of milk!!! That couldn't have happened at
the ranch, because that meant at least 20 miles (out and back). Today I just
went a few blocks and got a gallon. Of course I paid twice as much for it as I
would have at Vons, but I didn't want to go to Vons.
Despite the sort of bad times we've been having -with Buddys surgery, his
shoulders and his Vertigo, we have been blessed in so many ways. We say "It's
a God thing" and accept what is to be.
It'll soon be time for Jeopardy and the Fox Channel, or an old movie. Boy
it's easy to get in a rut when you're older.
